What Your Monthly Service Includes
Everything a managed computer needs to stay healthy and secure — covered by one month-to-month service
Continuous Monitoring & Alerting
Every managed computer is watched around the clock. Alerts fire when something looks wrong — usually before anyone at the desk notices. Problems get caught and addressed early, not after they've cost you a day of downtime.
Managed Security with Huntress
Huntress, the managed detection and response platform we deploy on managed machines, puts a real security operations team behind your business — trained analysts investigating suspicious activity, not basic consumer antivirus quietly running in the background.
Patching, Handled For You
Windows updates and third-party software patching are handled for the customer. Your machines stay current and protected without anyone on your team babysitting update prompts or reboot dialogs.
What's Not Included — Straight Talk
Most providers bury this in the fine print. We'd rather tell you up front.
Support Time Is Billed Hourly
Hands-on support — remote or on-site troubleshooting, repairs, and projects — is billed hourly and is not included in the monthly service. We say that plainly, because it's part of the same honesty behind our no-contract stance: you pay for what you use, nothing more.
Backup Is an Optional Add-On
Backup is available as an add-on for businesses that want it, with monitoring to confirm backups complete. If you already have a backup solution you like, we won't bundle one onto your service to pad the bill.
Month-to-Month Beats a Three-Year MSP Contract
For a small business, a three-year IT agreement locks you into a relationship you can't exit if the service slips, your business changes, or your budget does. Month-to-month means your provider has to earn your business every month — which is exactly the incentive you want from the company watching your computers.
The Typical MSP Agreement
- A multi-year contract — often three years
- Early termination fee if you leave early
- You keep paying even when service disappoints
- Adding or removing a computer means renegotiating
The Pixel Shield Way
- No contract — service is month to month
- No term commitment, no early termination fee
- Cancel anytime, for any reason
- Add or remove managed computers whenever you need
No-Contract Managed IT — Your Questions, Answered Honestly
Do I have to sign a contract?
No. Managed computer care from The Pixel Shield is strictly month-to-month. There is no contract to sign, no minimum term, and no early termination fee. You pay for the service one month at a time, and you can stop whenever it no longer makes sense for your business.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes — cancel anytime, for any reason, with no penalty. Let us know and the service simply ends. We don't believe in lock-ins: if we're not earning your business every month, you should be free to leave.
What happens if I add or remove a computer?
Because the service is month-to-month and priced per managed computer, you can add or remove machines whenever you need. No renegotiating an agreement, no waiting for a contract amendment — your coverage follows your business as it changes.
Is support included?
The monthly service covers continuous monitoring and alerting, Huntress managed security, and Windows and third-party patching. Hands-on support time — troubleshooting, repairs, projects, on-site visits — is billed hourly and is not part of the monthly service. We're upfront about that: you pay for the help you actually use, nothing more.
Is backup included?
Backup is available as an optional add-on for businesses that want it, with monitoring to confirm backups complete successfully. If you already have a backup solution you're happy with, we won't force one on you.
